Who Are We?

NTU Psychology Society has sought a collaboration with NUS Psychology Society to create this event to bring together employers, psychology alumni, postgraduates and undergraduates.

NTU Psychology Society

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Psychology Society was first inaugurated in June 2008 under the auspices of the NTU Student Affairs Office.

Over the past few years, the society has been dedicated to increasing the wealth of information available for students on future career prospects and opportunities. NTU Psychology Society holds frequent career talks by personnel from a diverse range of government agencies and private institutions which provide students with insightful knowledge and perspectives for their future career choices. Annual visits to the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) as well as the Singapore Changi Prison also allow students to better apply knowledge learnt in the classroom to real-life situations. Back in 2014, NTU also collaborated with UniSIM to hold a joint Career day and received numerous favourable feedback as well.

Not only that, NTU Psychology Society is also motivated to increase awareness of psychology-related issues in Singapore. One such event was the PARK(ING) Day project, which was done in collaboration with the Community Health Assessment Team (CHAT) as part of our efforts to raise mental health awareness amongst the public in 2015.

The initiative for a collaboration with the National University of Singapore (NUS) Psychology Society was driven by the hope of creating a larger platform  for people in Singapore to gain greater understanding and awareness in the field of Psychology in Singapore.

  • The Right of Language by Dr Travella

  • How to Attract the Love of Your Life by Mr Kelvin Teng

Both talks covered Psychology topics not taught in NUS’s Psychology Programme. They also provide resources such as internship opportunities for their undergraduate members.
